I discovered the truth behind Caroline's statement while working on a Pinocchio Layout. The story of the wooden puppet, Pinocchio, whose nose grows long when he tells lies, has captivated the hearts of children all over the world. Yet, underneath the tale, is the story of overcoming childish ignorance and naivety. It's a story about the power of truth and honestly.
Pinocchio lives in every one of us. Just as Pinocchio journeys to become a boy, we too journey to find ourselves. And, like Pinocchio, we got ourselves lost and tangled up in naive pursuits and lies.
This layout is designed to reveal our inner Pinocchio. Where have we been naive? What lies are we telling ourselves and others? What is the truth we need to uphold? These are the questions explored in this layout.
